The GO Y.O. Forgiveness Marathon Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to YOU in the mighty name of JESUS, thanking YOU for presenting this opportunity to participate in the GO Y.O. Forgiveness Marathon.  Open our hearts to learn, live and practice forgiveness.  Please show us where we have swept unforgiveness, anger, bitterness, pain, and the past under the carpet, thinking that it was easier not to deal with challenging situations than confronting them. “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalm 139:23-24). Please forgive us for running away from people and situations hoping that the pain and problems would go away.  Please help us! “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us” (1 John 5:14). As you show us, please help us to deal with those people and situations with YOUR humility, courage, wisdom and love. “Order my steps in Thy word, and let not any iniquity have dominion over me” (Psalm 119:133).  We truly want to live our lives with a clear conscience and to make a daily decision to life of life of forgiveness all the days of our lives .
